This is a brief synopsis of events that happened to me following a road traffic accident on 7 December 1990. This page includes access to three previously unpublished documents of medical evidence. The full story can be seen at http://hampshire.human-rights.org.

I fractured spinal vertebrae in December 1990 when another car failed to stop at a road junction, turned right onto the main road and collided with mine. My injuries included fractures at the bottom of my neck and mid back. These were misdiagnosed by a GP and Consultant rheumatologist as being whiplash.

The consequences were spinal meningitis, arachnoiditis, brain haemorrhages, further bone injuries, a brainstem injury (intra medullary lesion) and spinal shock.

Prognosis - arachnoiditis is incurable, I have made some recovery from brain damage, I am now about as fit as I'll ever be. I have made some recovery during the past year from the severe trauma that I experienced for a number of years.

Cover up (1) - I was said to have had a minor whiplash injury and multiple symptoms caused by a psychological disturbance.

Cover up (2) - Three solicitors from different firms would not obtain my private medical records, which were evidence of my injuries. Documents I gave my first solicitor were substituted by others supplied by my private medical consultant in order to misrepresent the medical investigations of my injuries and the treatment of same.

In October 1998, I was admitted to hospital via A&E after another driver collided with the rear of my car at a red traffic light, causing further injury. Bone injury was caused to the base of my spine by the careless use of a bedpan whilst I was in hospital.

An insurance claim for recovery of uninsured losses - not a personal injury claim - was made in my name, but not on my authority, by an insurance company which could have obtained the relevant information only from the police constable to whom I reported my accident by telephone on the afternoon I came out of hospital.

Cover up (3) was by the senior police official to whom I reported my allegations about the insurance fraud.

In November 1999, another driver collided with the rear of my car at a road junction. Unlike the other times, I didn't feel injured, but my health has deteriorated in the past year.

Cover up (4) - In spite of taking my allegations right up to the Prime Minister (twice), the Lord Chancellor, the Social Security Minister, the Health Services Minister and the Home Secretary, these remain uninvestigated.

In November 2000, I had a short spell in hospital as an emergency after collapsing at home. Hospital doctors attempted to attribute the pain in my head, dizziness, intolerance of bright lights, and the vomiting that happened only when the ambulance crew moved me from a lying-down to an upright position (to wheel me to the ambulance) to being caused by a kidney infection/cystitis/a bowel infection/the residual effects of glandular fever/a viral-type infection. After I discussed the matter with a consultant, he agreed to send me home with antibiotics, instead of treating me in hospital.
